Unique Courses Offered by SBS

SBS offers 2 years full time AICTE approved Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) which is equivalent to MBA, with specializations in Marketing, Finance, HR and the emerging vital vertical of Decision Science (Analytics). SBS is one of the few institutes that offer specialization in Decision Science (Analytics).

It has a superior, evolving, and vertically specialized curriculum delivered through path-breaking methodologies like performance learning, internship and 5-Pronged mentoring process. SBS has customized its curriculum to include core courses, electives and sectorial specializations. To let students understand the working of an industry, SBS offers industry-relevant courses, facilitated by corporate interaction. The involvement of students in projects and research, complemented by internship in the final term, give the students a complete ‘real life’ experience.

Due to its strategic location that is slightly away from the City and proximity to Ring Road, students have the opportunity to enjoy the calm surrounding which they need for their studies, and also can enjoy the beautiful scenery and nature.

At SBS, classrooms are air-conditioned, internet-equipped; students have access to an LCD and OHP for presentations, and are designed to accommodate 120 students at a go.  The SBS library is airy and well-lit, which provides an ambient atmosphere to the students. The library is well equipped with books on various subjects and research areas of students’ specializations. It offers several online journals on various business research domains, in addition to the regular print journal publications.

The entire campus is Wi-Fi enabled and the computer lab allows the students to be well connected to the outside world. The campus provides a large playground covering an area more than an acre, which allows the students to enjoy various sports, and also keeps them healthy. The playground is well lit with floodlight, and the students can choose from a variety of sports including football, cricket on a specially designed pitch, table tennis, basketball and volleyball.

SBS also has a large dining hall and cafeteria which provides delicious and hygienic food, and has a capacity of 300 people. All these amenities let students live a healthy campus life, and let them nurture their talents to the best of their abilities.

Mentor behind the Success of SBS

Prof. Bala Bhaskaran, the Director of SBS is a management professional and teacher with active interest in the areas of Finance, Entrepreneurship, Business Strategy, and Knowledge Management. He completed his formal education from IIT-Madras and IIM-Bangalore, and has 20 years of experience working in the corporate sector after which he shifted to management education. Prof. Bhaskaran brings to SBS his valuable experience working in the industry as well as education, having also completed his Ph.D. from Sardar Patel University, Anand. Apart from this he is also qualified as a Chartered Financial Analyst.  Prof. Bhaskaran has conducted many workshops and training programs for executives. Under his treasured experience and guidance, SBS has flourished and achieved many awards and appreciations.
