SISTec Conducts National Conference - Trends in Science, Engineering & Technology [ Education Magazine

Bhopal, April 13, 2019: Sagar Institute of Science and Technology (SISTec) Ratibad conducted Two Day National Conference on Emerging Trends in Science, Engineering & Technology on 12th & 13th April. This conference was sponsored by Madhya Pradesh Council of Science and Technology. The conference was inaugurated by Dr Sunil Kumar – Vice Chancellor, Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya (RGPV) and Mr Christopher Minj – Asst Director, Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) in presence of Shri Siddharth Sudhir Agrawal, Managing Director, Sagar Group and Dr Jyoti Deshmukh – Principal SISTec Ratibad and Shri B.S. Kushwaha, Sr. Administrator SISTec.

The Two Day conference was open for UG/PG Students, Academicians, Industrialists, Research Scholars from Mechanical, Civil, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering and Electronics and Communication Engineering branches to present and share their researches.  It also focused on emerging trends in Science and Engineering in development of Technologies connecting with the performance in form of applications. Dr Pradeep Kumar Ramancharla – Professor of Civil Engineering & Head, Earthquake Engineering Research Centre, IIIT Hyderabad,  Dr Rajesh Kumar – Head of Department of Electrical Engineering, MNIT Jaipur, Dr Vijayshri Chaurasia – Asst Professor, Electronics and Communication Engineering, MANIT Bhopal, Dr. Sunil Punjabi, Professor of Mechanical Department,  Ujjain Engineering College, Ujjain, Dr R S Thakur, Department of Computer Applications, MANIT Bhopal and Shri J Santosh –  Additional Director & Unit Head Central Power Research Institute (CPRI) Bhopal were amongst the few who enlightened the audience on use of applications based on engineering with emerging trends in their respective fields. Dr Rajesh Kumar enlightened the audience on  Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) – a deep learning algorithm whereas Dr Pradeep Kumar shared importance of Seismic Vulnerability Assessment and Retrofitting of Buildings and Case Studies practised across the globe. The second day of conference enlightened the students and faculties on recent developments in the field of Mechanical and Computer Science in which  Dr Sunil Punjabi and                   Dr  R.S. Thakur connected with students on the prospects in Biomechanical Sector and Data Properties & Management with Pattern warehouse and management – updation and modification. The conference was attended by over 350+ researchers & students, 100+ academicians and 20+ industry persons from various esteemed institutions and renowned industries of Madhya Pradesh.

Department of Electrical Engineering – GSM based Water Management in context to Indian Farming Methods using Solar Pump systems for watering and spraying pesticides by Mohib Ahmed, Rahu Ahirwar, Yagal Dande, Vishal Gajbiye, Twinkle Verma, Virendra Mewada, Ravi Verma, Krsihnapal Jhalwa ; Department of Mechanical Engineering – Development of Light Weight Bullet Proof Vest Material with improved protection capability with use of ‘Kevler 49’ as a layer by S Faisal Ahmed and Yogesh Agrawal, Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering –detection of cracks in rail tracks and to avoid derailment of trains with  track detection system  by Himanshu Gupta, Department of Civil Engineering – Study on landslideswith case study of Kedar Nath and Malin regions with proposed rescue and remedial measures thereafter by Vivek Kumar Tiwar were amongst few research and presentation papers which engrossed participants.

Shri Siddharth Sudhir Agrawal, Managing Director, Sagar Group, said that, “This National Conference is aimed to share knowledge in current researches areas executed by research scholars, technocrats and academicians in various institutes of our country. We will continue with other efforts of providing quality education to address real life solutions and contribute to industry & society.”
