Sri Jagadguru Chandrashekarnathaswamiji Institute of Technology, Chickballapur (SJCIT) was established in the year 1986 with an inception of delivering quality education. Being situated in Chickballapur, SJCIT is located on Bengaluru – Hyderabad National Highway – NH-7, 45 kms from Bengaluru City and about 20 kms from Kempegowda International Airport.

The institution offers 6 key branches of engineering, which includes Civil, Mechanical, Aeronautical, Electronics & Communication, Computer Science, and Information Science engineering courses. The departments were unveiled in the year 1986 except the Information Science engineering which was introduced in the year 2000 & the Aeronautical Engineering which was brought– in, in the year 2014.
The Research & Development department has been affiliated by Bhabha Atomic Research Centre, which is one of the most eminent research institutes of India, making it a remarkable institution. About the President
Jagadguru Sri Sri Sri Dr. Nirmalanandanatha Maha Swamiji is the President of Sri Adichunchanagiri Shikshana Trust®. He is the 72nd Pitadeepathi of Sri Adichunchanagiri Mahasamsthana Math. Guruji is fulfilling the vision of the Founder President, Sri Sri Sri Dr. Balagangadharnatha Mahaswamiji. He constantly guides everyone to further improve the quality of academic standards in educational institutions, in addition to the social activities of the ‘Math’. Guruji has earlier established many educational institutions in Chickballapur and Kolar districts.
About the Principal
Dr. K.M. Ravikumar is the Principal of SJCIT. He completed his bachelor’s degree in Electronics & Communication Engineering from Bangalore University, and obtained post graduate degree and doctoral degree from Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belgaum. He has published and presented 34 international technical papers and 7 national technical papers in renowned journals. He has been a guide to UG, PG, and Ph. D scholars. He is the recipient of many prestigious awards.
Extra-Curricular Activities
SJCIT not only provides quality educational facilities, but also asserts importance on co-curricular activities. The college, to accentuate the importance of sports amongst students, incorporates assorted games. It provides options for outdoor games like Hockey, Cricket, Football, Basketball, Volley ball, Kabbadi for boys, and Kho-Kho, Tennis, and Badminton for girls. Also the indoor games like chess, table tennis, and Carom aid to fabricate a new room for the intellect within.
