SSVPS College of Engineering (COE) is a premier institute, which imparts exceptional engineering education. It is backed by governing apex bodies like AICTE, NBA, NAAC, and North Maharashtra University, which approves, accredits, and affiliates the college, respectively. The SSVPS Sanstha, in the era of industrial and rapid technological development and seeking the need for an institution in a remote location, decided to build an Engineering & Polytechnic College. After formation, perceiving the emerging demands in industries in the era of Globalization, the institute launched Post Graduate programs in Management and Engineering.
With 30 Years of success in Engineering education, the college comprises 22 well furnished, 54 well equipped modern practical labs, six audio-video enabled seminar halls, one theatrical auditorium, gymkhana, cricket, hockey, football & volleyball grounds. It also has boys and girls hostel with 150 and 100 intakes, respectively. For the overall development of students, the college regularly carries out Spandan (annual social gathering), NICE (nurturing intelligence of curious engineers), various sports competition, industrial tours & elocution competitions, etc. Along with all these facilities, SSVPS COE’s proven track of academic excellence with university toppers, excellent academic result percentage in the geographical region, outstanding placements, and satisfied parents speaks to the value of education that the college provides.
About the Principal
A dynamic personality, Dr. Hitendra Patil, having a vast experience of 27 years of teaching and administration leads SSVPS as its Principal. He comes from a computer engineering background and has a great network of friends and academicians. Under his leadership, the institute has developed and maintained an effective educational program within the campus. He strives to create a climate, which fosters student and teacher growth. In fulfilling this role, he follows the AICTE, UGC, DTE, Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Technological university and college management Policies.
Dr. Hitendra has represented and led the college for NBA, NAAC and at various university and government bodies. Further, he has formed an administrative team, which fulfills and supports the college in meeting the overall objective and needs of members and students of the college.
More than Just a Traditional College
Being in one of the backward areas of North Maharashtra region, the college came across various predicaments like lack of communication skills, interpersonal communication, stage daring, English speaking, etc. To surpass these, the college runs various student-centric programs wherein students learn and excel in all the areas so that they are employable and up to the mark. Soft skills development workshops are arranged twice in the year in association with the top training agencies, and expert lectures from corporates are also organized.
Student-Oriented Skill Programs
The college pays special attention to the development of technical skills of the students. To accomplish the same, the college has formed technical skill enhancement program with renowned training institutes. Further, it has introduced a facility wherein students can suggest and enroll in industry-ready technical courses. These efforts of the college always pay off and students come out with better opportunities in the placement drives. The personnel on the opposite end, who run these drives, are more than satisfied by the efforts that the college has put forth. Furthermore, to keep everyone on the same length, the college, irrespective of the department, conducts courses like Creo, Automation, Angular Js, Plc & Scada, Software Testing, Solid Works, Primevera, Advance Excel etc.

According to the college, a Training and Placement Cell plays a vital role in any institute. Hence, the college has formed a separate full-fledged Training & Placement Department accompanied by ample manpower and infrastructure. It focuses on placements, which are centered on creating new approaches to attract the best from the industry to the campus. SSVPS trains and fabricates industry-ready pupils using the following facilities:

In the last two years, the college has successfully placed more than 130 students in stellar companies such as Tata Consultancy Service, Tech Mahindra, Syntel, Wipro, Honda, Bosch, Accenture, Just dial, and many more.
While talking about the future of the graduates, the college states, “We believe that the success achieved with ethics is important in life. The training and placement team at SSVPS is headed by a resilient personality Dr. Sanjeev Jain who proactively communicates with the corporate world & the various agencies. He also maintains a thick bond with the alumni of the college. He is well supported by the T&P officer Mr. Vinchurkar, Training Incharge, Departmental coordinators, Assistant staff, technical support staff, and student representatives. Scholars from all branches are involved in the placement activities with the T&P department coordinator. Consequently, this makes them a part of the process and helps in inducing responsibility and confidence. Ultimately, the college’s efforts with respect to student’s placements prepare them to be a valuable asset in whichever organization they might join in their future.
