Dr. (h.c) Ankit Jain who heads Animation and VFX Department at Suryadatta Group of Institutes is an expert in his domain with tremendous knowledge. He has won various award including Best Head of the Department and Best Young HOD of the Year Award (Below 40 Years). He has recently been awarded with Honorary Doctorate in the field of Multimedia from Global Triumph University. He is also a Members of Editorial Board / Advisory Board / Reviewer Board for International Journals.
The students are privileged to gain must-have information about the industry while studying in the Animation Department at Suryadatta Group of Institutes. Though this is apart from the course syllabus, the faculties go that extra mile for their students. They arrange various guest sessions, seminars, industry visits, studio visits for the students by ensuring maximum participation from them for their benefit. The faculties encourage their students to participate in numerous national and international competitions where students have performed well and their work has been recognised. Our students of animation are constantly setting the bar higher with their achievements. Students have successfully participated in IFP (50 Hour Film Making Challenge) & taken up various challenges like 365 days of cartooning, 365 Days Graphic Challenge and 365 Days of Digital Creativity, have also freelanced for various events, published papers, secured ranks in university, acted in web series and have won in various animation contests including animation pitching. Faculties encourage students to participate in various national and international level workshops organised. Students have worked as interns for International Music album as well. Entrepreneurship is also promoted and students are provided guidance for the same. Our alumni have turned entrepreneurs. Bhavesh Patil (Alumni) is Producer & Director and owns a studio named Bhavesh Productions.

Vishal Firode has been awarded as the batch topper from his college, Amol Gupte has won Golden Pixel Award for editing, Neha Saraf has completed M Tech with Honors and has published research papers & books and completes research projects. She has been a research guide as well.
