From the academic year 2022-23, the Telangana cabinet has decided to introduce the English medium in all government schools. Along with that, the state will also regulate fees in private schools, junior colleges, and degree colleges.
The government has also drawn up an action plan to train teachers that will help in imparting education in English to students from the primary level.
The decision was convened by the Telangana cabinet and conveyed the message on Monday. The cabinet has appointed a committee headed by the state’s education minister Sabita Indra Reddy. The cabinet also passed the scheme ‘Mana Vooru Mana Badi’ and a total of Rs. 7289 crore was allotted for better infrastructure and quality education.
