This is How Indian Colleges are Gearing up for Admissions

With the academic cycle being badly hit due to the coronavirus pandemic and the extension of nation-wide lockdown most of the government institutions have either extended the date of accepting applications to various courses or have deferred the schedule for conducting entrance examination. However, the admission process in private colleges could commence based on an expected score that will be calculated by accessing the year-long performance of that student.

Furthermore, the National Test Agency ( that conducts engineering and medical entrance tests) has announced that the exams will be held by the end of May. However, the agency has not stated yet as to how the exams will be held. Similarly, The Dean of Lovely University, Rajeev Sobti announced that for now the college will consider JEE Main score and start counseling. However, once the lockdown is over the university will conduct its own test; NEST for B.Tech programs.
