Unveiling A Revolution: Matter and IIT Bombay Join Forces

Unlocking the Future of Innovation!

This collaboration will help IIT Bombay Racing create and make an e-vehicle, along with allowing students to gain experience with EV mobility technologies through internships.

Matter, a tech innovation startup in electric mobility, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with IIT Bombay. The MoU is to support the IIT Bombay racing team in designing and manufacturing an electric Formula-style race car for the Formula Student UK (FS) competition – Europe’s most established educational motorsport event, organized by the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE).

Matter is extending its support for the development and testing of components and technologies at its world-class R & D facility, including the 4Q Dyno testing facility for the motor controller, the testing facilities for the power pack, BMS testing, cell characteristic testing, and component development facility.

We are also offering internships to IIT Bombay students in various areas of electric mobility development, including hardware, firmware, simulation, and vehicle integration, to help them gain valuable hands-on experience in cutting-edge EV technology. By leveraging Matter’s technical facilities, your students will have access to the latest technologies to develop and test components and gain invaluable industry experience.

Both parties will explore potential opportunities to deepen their collaboration in the areas of power electronics safety, inverters, chargers, DCDC converters, hardware, firmware, simulations, and vehicle integration for e-mobility. These areas could include innovative solutions to enable the greater adoption of e-mobility while remaining focused on safety and reliability.

By working together, the parties can leverage each other’s expertise and resources to develop new and improved technologies, and ultimately, create a more sustainable and efficient e-mobility market.
