US Secretary of Education Praises West Virginia for the Efforts of School Vaccinations

Dr. Miguel Cardona, the United States Secretary of Education, has complimented the state’s efforts to offer Covid-19 immunizations to as many kids as possible.

While Covid-19 immunizations are not mandatory for students, employees, or instructors in West Virginia, the state has mandated ‘pop-up’ vaccination clinics in each of the state’s 55 counties. According to state Superintendent of Schools Clayton Burch, the drive will continue this fall and will be expanded to younger pupils once they have been cleared for a vaccine.

“We are all in this together, this is about protecting life,” said Cardona.
