Established on 9th September 1999, Valliammai Engineering College (VEC) is a division of SRM Group of Educational Institutions for privileged learning. The College is approved by AICTE, New Delhi and is affiliated to Anna University, Chennai. It is functioning under the auspices of Valliammai Educational Society which is known for providing quality education in various fields for more than three decades. The college offers seven courses in the Under Graduate level and eight courses in the Post Graduate level.
The institution caters for Bachelors in engineering degree in various streams namely, Computer Science Electronics and Communication, Electrical and Electronics, Electronics and Instrumentation, Information Technology, Mechanical and Civil. They also offer a Masters in engineering program in Control & Instrumentation, Communication Systems, Computer Science, Structural, CAD/CAM, Power Systems, Master of Business Administration and Master of Computer Application.

Dr.B.Chidhambara Rajan is the honorable Principal of the Valliammai Engineering College. He obtained his Bachelor’s in Electronics & Communications Engineering, Master’s in Microwave & Optical engineering from Madurai Kamaraj University and Ph.D. from Anna University, Chennai. He has twenty-seven years of teaching experience in various reputed institutions. He is a member of professional societies like IEEE, IETE, IEI, etc. He has published several technical papers in national and international journals and conferences as well.
