With the Pace of Changing Career Trends, IIT-Bombay Restructured the UG Curriculum.

Indian Institute of Technology (IITs) has adopted a well-established practice for engineering students; the institute has introduced several non-core-engineering fields such as management, consultancy, finance, start-ups and many other essential fields where they can seek and make a successful career.

And to compete with the changing trends, IIT Bombay has now revamped its undergraduate (UG) Curriculum.

The engineering students will now have various other courses such as Management, Entrepreneurship and Design; apart from these courses, Humanities will be the regular core engineering curriculum.

IIT Bombay has been set for the new course curriculum where non-engineering subjects like Humanities, Arts, Social Science, Management, Entrepreneurship, and Design (HASMED) have been introduced.

These courses are aligned with an interdisciplinary STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) approach, which is integrated with the core engineering subjects students are pursuing in a specific branch.
