Shram Sadhana Bombay Trust (SSBT) runs the College of Engineering & Technology (COET) at Bambhori, Jalgaon, which is the one of the important industrial town & district headquarters of Maharashtra state.
Promoting a Culturally Vibrant Campus
SSBT make no discrepancy among cast creed and religion. It promotes students to celebrate all functions to maintain cultural harmony. A variety of festivals are celebrated in the campus including Ganesh festival, dahi handi celebration, iftaar roza party, and so on. It also conducts tree plantation and village clean program under Swachbharat Abhiyan, FEAST: Festival of Engineers Administrators Scientist and Technocrats – a unique lecture series by eminent personalities. SSBT celebrates VASANT UTSAV (Annual Gathering) and annual sport every year.
Splendid Educational and Infrastructural Facilities
The 25 acres of campus is located on the bank of River Girna. It consists of College of Engineering and Technology in 23 acres and Institute of Pharmacy in 2 acres. SSBT has in-campus two boys’ hostels (capacity 550) and 2 girls’ hostels (capacity 250). More than five lakh square feet area is constructed with beautifully architectural buildings and open auditorium. It has six acres of green lawn, Lord Ganesha temple, hitech gym khana, and in-campus staff quarters. Moreover, the college has taken various other steps to make the campus eco-friendly including solar photo voltaic plant of 100KW, sullage water treatment plant, biogas plant, rain water harvesting, and so on.
It has 27 Ph. D. faculties and 25+ are pursuing Ph.D. 200+ research papers yearly are published/presented by faculties in renowned journals/conferences. The faculties have received more than Rs. 1 Cr fund from various funding agencies like UGC/AICTE/NMU for research projects workshops, seminars etc.
The college offers 8 UG Programs & 2 PG programs in engineering, MBA & 07 Ph.D. programs.
It also publishes bi-annual journal “PRATIBHA: International Journal of Science, Spirituality, Business and Technology (IJSSBT)” to promote research and innovation. Many of the faculties have also published their books.
About the Principal
Dr. K.S. Wani is the Principal of SSBT COET. He has a professional teaching experience of over 30 years, and has played various administrative roles in different institutions like Principal, SMIT Polytechnic, Jalgaon; Head, Chemical Engg. Department, SSBT’s College of Engineering & Technology, Bambhori, Jalgaon. He is Principal of SSBT’s College of Engineering &Technology, Bambhori, Jalgaon since 14th October, 2011 till date. “Our aim is to impart the best of the knowledge and technical knowhow to our students with required inputs, and the desire and ability to learn, lead and excel to make them responsible and respected citizens of India” says Dr. Wani.
Major Achievements and Accolades
The institute has achieved numerous milestones throughout its celebrated journey. The college is NBA accredited three times and has also achieved NAAC accreditation with Grade B++ (2.91 CGPA). SSBT COET has received A grade by NMU, Jalgaon. It was awarded as Best Engineering College of Maharashtra by Engineering Education Foundation, Pune in 2008-09. SSBT COET received Engineering Education Excellence Award- 2015 by Indo Global Chamber of Commerce, Industry & Agriculture, Pune. Also, it received Brand Excellence in Education award by (94.3 FM) Dainik Bhaskar corporation ltd in 2017.
Financial Assistance
SSBT under the able guidance of Shri Raosaheb, Chairman, Governing Body, has started Shram Sadhana Scholarship Scheme for financially weaker students to help them to complete their engineering education in this college.
Further, the college has Shram Sadhana Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Center that has sponsored students’ projects with fund of Rs. 2.60 Lakhs in the year 2017–18.

With the initiative from Training and Placement Department, the college has signed MOUs with many industries to provide various updated programs and training to students with the objective of providing them better career opportunities. They have signed MOUs with Reliance Jio, Studenting Era, New Delhi, and so on. They offer registration opportunities for placement with firstnaukari.com portal, National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS), Barclays Youth Employability Program, and so on. SSBT offers various training programs like Training Center for Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY-TI) for 16 Courses; Video Conferencing Studio of Kongo Educational Services Pvt. Ltd. for GATE 2019 Aspirants; and Android, IoT& CATIA Training Programs.
