The Andhra Pradesh government has implemented the concept of ‘No Bag Day’ across all schools of the state as a significant measure to improve students’ learning outcome on Saturday.
This plan forms part of the larger and wider set of education reforms geared toward reducing students’ academic burden and promoting balanced learning.
The new policy is not carrying school bags to school on Saturdays by the pupils. The school participates the children in interactive and experience-based activities related to arts, music, storytelling, sports, and life skills. This should reduce stress, foster creativity, and excite learning.
Education Reforms Majors Announced
In addition to ‘No Bag Day’, the government introduced a few stern education reforms with the motive of quality education in the state.
- Digital Learning
Smart class, digital teaching aids, and online learning instruments will be included in schools such that the learner learns through modern educational instruments.
- Vocational and Skill-Based Training
The government would undertake vocational courses and practical skill development programs for their students so as to prepare the students for careers in the near future and eventually entrepreneurship.
- Better Training Programs for Teachers
Arrangement of Special Training Programs to develop teaching method such that staffs teaching, are able to make use of new digital tools and interactive methods of learning properly.
- Physical and Mental Health
Counseling programs and health check-up will be put in schools so that the minds and bodies of students will have a sound experience.
- Modernization of School Buildings
The government will also provide funds for school facilities to be improved including better classrooms, libraries, laboratories, and sanitation for friendly schools to students.
‘No Bag Day’ will usher in positivity into the mental health of students, reduce pressure, and learn beyond textbooks. Andhra Pradesh will change the face of education with these all-inclusive reforms as it becomes more student-centric, skill-based, and innovative.
