Noida, 18th January 2019: Asian Law College (ALC) celebrated AEG Annual Inter College Cultural Fest, KESSHET 2019-Season 6 on Thursday, 17th January 2019 at its campus in Noida with full fanfare and gusto, all in the filmy style. The other two Asian Education Group schools, viz., Asian Business School (ABS) and Asian School of Business (ASB), co-hosted and participated in the fest.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof. Sandeep Marwah, Chairman of Asian Education Group said, “KESSHET 2019 is intended to be a platform to position students of various streams and institutions under one common roof of participation to explore, learn, share and innovate.”
Billed as one of the biggest inter-college cultural fest of NCR, India, the event saw a perfect blend of an array of colorful activities ranging from literary bent to theatre-based events and cultural events amongst others.
Deliberating upon the underlying thought behind this sixth edition of the event, Mr. Saurabh Sharma, Director-Asian Education Group disclosed, “Thematically, KESSHET 2019 is based on the leitmotif idea of ‘Rejuvenating Colors of Youth’, and the event draws heavily on the ‘Colours of Bollywood’, which is why the whole ambience is marked by a generous punch of glamour, conviviality, mirth and merriment.”
Looking at it from an academic perspective, Dr. Lalita Vir Srivastava, Director-Asian Education Group opined, “Events like KESSHET 2019 broadens the students mind and hearts and refreshes them anew on their academic journey”.
On a lighter note, Mr. Gurdeep Singh Raina, Director-Asian Education Group remarked, “KESSHET as an inter-college fest is a boiling pot with new creative ideas and stimulating entertainment all over”.
The climax of the event was a rocking performance by Sukh-E Muzical Doctorz of “Sniper” and “Jaguar” fame that gave the guests and the students a lifetime experience of fun, frolic and incessant memories.
The fest drew the best talent from more than 100 institutes across the nation, covering areas ranging from music and drama to literary events, games and creative explosion in graffiti spreading various colours at the AEG campus.
The event comprised of 13 events divided into 4 groups classified as A, B and C and Flagship Groups. Some of the prominent event activities were Graffiti & T-Shirt Painting, Funk Out of Junk, Nukkad Natak, Duplicate Dialogue Bazzi, Solo Singing, Hamari Adalat, War of Brains (General Quiz), Wizard – Computer Game, Battle of Bands, Case Analysis, Group Dance & Solo Dance, Walk the Ramp (Fashion Show), and Admania.
Judgement of each event activity was made on the overriding parameters of creativity and innovation. The distinguished panel of judges included well-known creative professionals and luminaries like Kritika Mishra, the Indian film actress who has worked predominantly in Bollywood.
Prizes for the winners of each category were distributed amidst thunderous applause and a great bonhomie. All the participants, whether they won a prize or not, went back home with great memories and a lifetime experience.
