BHU Launches Three-Day Event

On Thursday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched a three-day seminar at Banaras Hindu University (BHU), in which 400 academic experts and heads of higher education institutes will be participating to discuss about the implementation of the National Education Policy (NEP).

University Grants Commission (UGC) chairman M Jagadish Kumar and vice-chancellor C Sudhir K Jain convened a press conference at BHU on Wednesday, in which they provided the details of Akhil Bhartiya Shiksha Samagam, which Prime Minister Narendra Modi will launch.

While introducing the three-day event, which started on Thursday, Kumar asserts, “Heads of 400 institutions, academicians, policymakers, researchers, heads of regulatory bodies, and many such experts shall participate in the Samagam event.”

He also said that “the event has been separated into 11 sessions, out of these, nine would be theme-based, and the two additional sessions will be about the success stories which resulted after implementation of NEP.”
