The Visionary behind BMG

These stories belong to Thanveer Gaffoor, Founder and Managing Director of the BMG Group. His father BM Gaffoor, the torchbearer of BMG Group is better known as a renowned Cartoonist hailing from Kerala. His experience and vision for animation and its possibilities have been the backbone of the company’s growth. The legacy was carried over to his sons Thanveer Gaffoor and Thajmal Gaffoor which has been their strength and energy to succeed.

Thanveer started his journey as a trainee graphic designer and in early 2000, worked as a chief graphic designer at NEST, an IT MNC in Kochi. The year 2004 was tough on him, due to his father’s demise. However, he stood tall and set up his own business, today known as BMG Animations. This success story started with a single employee and a single computer. The first product that the studio created was ‘Kunhamman’. The series was the first daily animation series in Malayalam and political animated satire. It continued for a whopping number of 2000 episodes.

In the year, 2016, BMG became a multimedia partner for CNBC Arabia and developed ‘Finance Guru’ a first of its kind show on television.
