Centre to Set Up Residential Schools in Maoist Affected Districts
Residential Schools

The Centre has decided to construct up additional residential schools in Maoist-affected districts. The decision has been made in order to provide better education facilities to the youngsters.

On September 26, a day after Union Home Minister Amit Shah met with chief ministers of the afflicted states to discuss the Left Wing Extremism (LWE) situation, officials indicated that by improving schooling facilities, tribal youngsters will be dissuaded from following Maoist ideology.

The Maoist-hit states’ Chief Secretaries were also told to find and give land for designated schools in the affected districts as soon as possible.
