Mason High School announced its 33 seniors among the 192 National Merit Semi-finalists. The National Merit Scholarship Corporation has named them as one of 16,000 semi-finalists. The kids represent less than 1% of seniors nationwide and include the top scorers on the preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test for 2020.

In February, around 15,000 semi-finalists are likely to advance to the finalist stage. This qualifies students for National Merit Awards worth $2,500, as well as additional scholarships offered by colleges, universities, and businesses to semi-finalists.
