Century Old Government School Alive Again
Century Old Government School

A century-old Government higher primary school in Maji-Veerkamba, has been revived by the efforts of alumnus and CSR donations. Six years ago, with only 44 students in the school, it was on the verge of closing. However, the admissions now reached to 202, with kids ranging from kindergarten to eighth grade.

In January 2022, the school will commemorate its centennial year. It now has smart classrooms and other amenities that are comparable to those found in elite schools. An alumnus, civil engineer Santhosh Kumar, has adopted the school and is working to improve it.
