Scope for Entrepreneurships: Chitkara University’s Center for Entrepreneurship Education and Development (CEED), is an endeavor to develop a mindset of being an entrepreneur while a student is still in his academic tenure. CEED has a structured setup where it has two entrepreneurship development cells, which are run by the students under the guidance of a dedicated mentor. Once the students move out of the University, until they plan to continue their entrepreneurship projects, they are moved and provided space at Chitkara University’s Innovation Incubator near Chandigarh IT Park. The Incubator already has 40+ startups successfully functioning.

An eminent academician and an innovative entrepreneur, Dr. Madhu Chitkara has articulated and designed the road map for Chitakara Educational Trust and has actively contributed to its tremendous growth and recognition in all these years. She is the Vice Chancellor of Chitkara University, Punjab and also the Co-Founder of Chitkara Educational Trust.
Despite achieving phenomenal success in the field of education she had a desire to do something for those who were not very privileged. Accordingly, she prevailed upon the heads of her institutions to adopt villages in the vicinity of their organizations. Villagers, mainly women were given training to pursue vocations that could provide livelihood to them. Care was taken to ensure that the products manufactured by them found use in educational institutions. The items produced by these cottage industry level enterprises were purchased by Chitkara, thus relieving the villagers of the burden of marketing their produce.
With a passion for academics and great business acumen, Dr. Madhu Chitkara has a diversified career & variegated experience in the field of education spanning over 38 years. Highly knowledgeable, focused, and a strategic leader, Dr. Madhu Chitkara has been instrumental in transforming higher education in India.
