ESCON is recognized by INC (Indian Nursing Council), New Delhi and TamilNadu Nurses and Midwives Council, Chennai. It has effortlessly maintained the standards through regular inspection by the recognized and affiliated authorities. It is affiliated with Tamil Nadu Dr. MGR Medical University for collegiate programs and Directorate of Public Health and preventive medicine and Directorate of Medical Education for school of nursing programs from the year 2008.
The college offers three collegiate programs with intake in B.Sc nursing- 100 seats, P.B.B.Sc nursing – 50 seats and M.Sc nursing 25 seats in five specialty, and diploma programs of ANM – 40 seats and DGNM – 60 seats. At present the institution sports strength of 587 students, guided by two administrators, five HOD’s and 13 postgraduates, 40 undergraduate faculty members and 45 non-teaching faculties.

The institution follows the well-structured curriculum given by INC. The curriculum meets the community needs, professional skills, and competencies, researching in thrust/emerging areas, innovation, and employability.
Quality enhancement measures are undertaken by the institution through course plan, theory and practical data sheet, lecture/practical classes, academic calendar, seminar, workshop, and conference. Every year feedback is collected from the students, parents, faculty academic peers, alumni, and anti-ragging committee.
Academic calendar is planned every year and it is strictly adhered to during the academic year. Students get advanced clinical training at Von programmes are a major part of higher education of the institution. The faculty and the students are given opportunities to organise and participate in conferences, workshops, and encouraged to present the papers in the conferences. The institution organizes various conferences and workshops periodically to enhance the holistic knowledge of both the student and faculty. Adequate funds are allotted for all the departments to conduct national/international conferences, workshops, CNE programs, guestlecture classes and seminars.
Campus Life and Care for its Students
Apart from curricular development, the institution supports the students in cultural events, sports, and inter-college festivals. ESCON boosts the students morally with student counselling committee, anti-ragging initiatives, sports and cultural committees and grievance committee. The college has active alumni association.

ES College and School of Nursing produced 1085 graduates within the ten years period of that, 718 undergraduates, 324 diploma, and six postgraduates within the period of 2008 to 2019.
Every so often, campus interview is conducted from various super-specialty hospitals from all over India like Apollo Hospitals, Adayar Cancer Institute, Global Hospitals, MIOT Hospital, Saveetha Medical College & Hospital, and also the students working in various super-specialty hospitals like Manipal Hospital-Bengaluru, MGM Hospital- Chennai, REELA Hospital-Chennai, Kavery Hospital-Chennai, Salem & Trichy, SRMC Porur, SRM Hospital Kattankulathur-Chennai, etc.
The past five years were especially meticulous in terms of placement, at the ESCON proudly displayed more than 95% placement record! Of that, around 200 members are placed in different government hospitals through MRB and around 25 members placed in abroad.

A NOBLE START
The Founder, Thiru. E. Swamikkannu, a renowned educationalist started the E.S.Group of Institutions (ESGI) in the year 1983 to promote education in the backward district of Villupuram, which resulted in the blooming of E.S.Group of Institutions in Villupuram. The alumni of ESGI are currently employed across the country in various organizations.
- S. College of Nursing (ESCON), established in the year 2008, owns a 300- bedded multispecialty hospital located in the heart of Villupuram.
A determined, insightful, and industrious administrator, the Managing Trustee and Secretary of ESCON, Mr. S. Senthil Kumar is at the helm of affairs, working with his team of nursing educators, to achieve the goals of ESCON. He has strived for over a decade to establish a nursing institute, with stress on the importance of empowerment through quality education. Institutions under his administration have got wide public acclaim owing to their remarkable services rendered in the district of Villupuram. Also, he is an active member of Tamil Nadu state Volleyball Association.
