Established in 2008, Fairfield Institute of Management and Technology (FIMT) is located in Kapashera, South West district of New Delhi. It focuses on satisfying the insatiable thirst for knowledge, skills and entrepreneurship among the youth of India. The college is accredited by NAAC and is ISO 9001:2015 & 14001:2015 certified. It was established by ‘The Fairfield Group of Institutions’, and is backed by the legacy of 43 years of shaping students’ career in the country. The college is focused on delivering exceptional educational facilities to the students and is acutely conscious of their responsibilities in this regard. FIMT has been striving to render quality management education with values, to those seeking managerial skills for the past 7 years.
Focus on Attaining Educational Excellence
The college integrates theory into applied experience, and challenges the students to expand their mind. It promotes industry–academia interaction through industry visits, workshops and seminars to encourage non-traditional learning among the students.
For students of Journalism and Mass Communication, various technical skills and grooming skills are ensured via setup and usage of designing & editing lab, radio jockeying & anchoring lab and filmmaking & photography lab.
It focuses on in-house newsletters/publications (Vidhi Darpan) as an important communication tool. The college aims to provide a platform for the students to express their views, find a space for their thoughts and creative writing and simultaneously learn the art and techniques of drafting and printing newspapers and journals. FIMT publishes various texts including:

FIMT focuses not only on imparting knowledge on various technical arenas, but also aims to improve communication skills of the students. The college organizes extensive and result oriented language leadership sessions with the objective of improving soft skills and spoken English skills of the students. These programs focus upon goal setting and career planning, positive thinking and motivation, business etiquettes, personal grooming and hygiene. About the Founder Chairman
The person responsible for guiding FIMT towards the heights of curricular and co-curricular excellence is V.K. Nangalia Bhardwaj, the Founder Chairman of Fairfield Group of Institutions. As a visionary leader, educationist and social entrepreneur, he has promoted educational and entrepreneurship sectors in India for more than two decades. Sh. Bhardwaj founded the FIMT group in 2006 with an aim of providing quality educational and entrepreneurial opportunities to the youths. He established FIMT that same year and it marked the beginning of his long and enduring tryst with education. His vision to generate a culture of educational excellence has led to the development of numerous successful educational institutions across India.
Vibrant Extra-Curricular Events
The college carries out a variety of events to provide students the much needed exposure. The students of the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication conducted an event titled ‘SAFARNAMA’, which canvassed the journey of 100 years of Indian cinema and shed light on the contribution of cinematic legends. FIMT – School of Management conducted an intra-college competition titled ‘BIZABIONA’, which constituted power point presentation competition, group discussion, debate competition and business plan ideas.
Cultural events like ‘Diwali Mela’ are organized annually for the informal engagement and recreation of students and teachers, where multiple food and gaming stalls are setup and activities are conducted. The Sports and Recreation Department provides students with gym facility and different fitness and sports equipment like basketball, table tennis circuit, multi-gyms, static cycles etc.
Major Accreditations and Achievements
The college has received numerous accolades for its dedicated efforts and unwavering resolve towards academic excellence. The Fairfield Institute – School of Law is the 1st affiliated college of GGS IP University to host the 31st All India Inter-University Moot-Court Competition of The Bar Council of India and Bar Council of India Trust. An FIMT law student won A++ grade and received the ESDR Fellowship Award 2017 during the 12th International Residential School on Economic Social and Cultural Rights, hosted by the Kathmandu School of Law, Nepal and FIMT, India. Many other students of the college also scored high grades and performed exceptionally well in their participation in various programs.
Collaborative Endeavors
FIMT has joined hands with many renowned institutions for attaining better academic outcomes. It has maintained a very cordial, engaging and enriching relationship with the Kathmandu School of Law (KSL), Nepal for many years. These two institutions strengthened their academic bond when they started conducting joint ‘International Residential Student Exchange Program’ from the year 2017.
They have jointly conducted an International Winter Residential Programme on ‘Elimination of Bonded Labor System’ in collaboration with the National Human Rights Commission, Govt. of India in the year 2018. Following the success of the event, these two institutions conducted a 9-day International Residential Student Exchange Program from 11th-19th March 2019 on Law, Logic, International Relations and Human Rights in FIMT Campus. This event witnessed intellectual dynamic discussions, workshops and activities with experts as well as policymakers and researchers in the respective fields.

FIMT assists students to achieve their dream job. The career office of the college inspires and supports students to transition confidently beyond the college by creating a dynamic space to gain clarity through their one-to-one counseling, grant writing workshops, mock interviews and more.
The career office provides professional career counseling for the students. With an independent campus placement driver, they have an impeccable record in quality placements. It is dedicated to find the right jobs for the young aspirants. The institute conducts seminars on resume writing along with courses in personality development and interview skills to nurture the best industry behavior among the students. It provides multiple placement opportunities and organizes several placement-drives throughout the year. FIMT dedicatedly grooms the students and prepares them for placements.
The college’s Entrepreneurship Development Cell constantly focuses on creating new Entrepreneurs. The cell has generated successful entrepreneurs in various fields who are associated with the college. This setup focuses on inculcating the entrepreneurial spirit and culture, providing employment opportunities to the students, creating employers and grooming their industrial and business skills by arranging guest lectures, seminars and workshops for them to work efficiently and effectively.
