The ICFAI Business School (IBS) case “SHEIN: Redefining Global Fast Fashion” written by Ms.Syeda Maseeha Qumer has won the ‘Best Case Award’ at the prestigious 2021 Global Contest for Best China Focused Cases. The contest was organized by the Shanghai MBA Case Development and Sharing Platform managed by China Europe International Business School (CEIBS). The CEIBS announced the Awards 2021 on 31st March 2022.
About the Contest: The contest aims to promote research on unique management issues in the Chinese environment from a global perspective. The 2021 contest received a total of 352 cases from 713 authors at 85 colleges and institutions in China and around the world. The panel which judged the Best Case Award included Pierre Chandon from INSEAD, P.W. (Paul) Beamish from Ivey Business School, Krishna Palepu from Harvard Business School and Richard McCracken from The Case Centre.
About the Case: This case is about China based only online fast fashion retailer SHEIN and how it revolutionized the global fast fashion market through its hyper-fast production process, quick delivery times, bargain basement pricing, and data-driven product offerings. SHEIN has presence in more than 220 countries globally. The case also explores how SHEIN found success, evaluating its business model and marketing strategies.

About the CEIBS Case Center: Founded in 2001, the CEIBS Case Center closely follows China’s management education and practices.

By doing so, ChinaCases.Org aims to become the most influential China case library globally.
