The government of Jharkhand decided to reopen the schools from today for classes 9 to 12. Jagarnath Mahto, Minister of Department of Education for the state, announced the decision. The schools in the state are shut down for a long time since March 2020.

Jharkhand government also issued guidelines regarding reopening the schools. Permission has been given to operate buses for traveling of students. Thermal checking will be done at the school entry gates. Students must carry their parents’ consent before attending offline classes. Coaching centres too will reopen if parents give approval.
