J&K Governor Manoj Sinha Paid Rs.51 Crore for Underprivileged Children’s Education

On 30th May 2022, Mr Manoj Sinha, Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, said that the administration is paying Rs.51 crore for the ‘Sustained Attention’ scheme to bring quality education to the underprivileged section of the society, who are long destitute from their rights.

He inaugurated the Model- Tribal Transit Residential School, girls’ hostel, and many other projects for community development. While doing so, Mr Manoj Sinha said, “New hostels, intelligent classes, and a record number of scholarships for tribal will open doors of economic prosperity and all-round development.

From 1976 to 2020, there were only 26 hostels for tribal students; now, 37 new hostels will be added by 2023. In the past 21 months, we have taken significant steps to ensure the empowerment of all underprivileged and weaker groups.” These projects are done for social justice and to bring equality to society.
