A social studies teacher at Marist school, Jose Gregory, is selected for ‘Georgia History Teacher of the Year’. It is an annual award from the Gilder Lehrman Institute of American History. Around 8500 teachers were nominated for the award across the state.

Gregory was an AP history teacher for almost 18 years. Before Marist school, he was working at Dekalb School of Arts. Gregory will be in the race of National History Teacher of the Year. The winner for the same will be selected from the pool of state winners this fall.
