Living Bridge is a platform that aims to bring talent and training on an even keel. It is an institute which nurtures talent and ensures that the students who are looking to pursue their career in the their respective creative fields get the training and mentoring they deserve. The Living Bridge hosts  students to the top echelons of the industry from assorted professions, including acting, filmmaking, screenwriting, creative and feature writing, photography and theatre, among others. The workshop modules cover both intensive and extensive ground, taking one through various nuances of that particular subject in a comprehensive and interactive manner. It captures the essence of the curricula that professional institutes offer its students over two or three semesters in the course of a couple of days, by focusing on core skill sets required to succeed in the profession. It doesn’t stop there, as the mentors go the distance to conduct advanced courses on the same topic, thereby keeping the light of learning alive and glowing.

The Pillars of the Institute

The institute is a brainchild of three prominent leaders- Ruta Talwalkar– Partner , Prashant Desai– Partner, Aziz Rajabali– Partner, who built this with their creative powers. Also, Kabir Rajabali – Website & Graphic Design is helping the institute in the longer run.

A diligent personality, Ruta Talwalkar is a graduate in Psychology and a Post graduate in Personnel Management. She has a working experience of six years in various fields such as media, recruitment, and investment banking before stepping into this journey of Co-Founding the Living Bridge. She is also on the Board of Directors of a boutique investment banking company.

An avid personality, Prashant Desai graduated from the film and television institute of India, Pune, in cinema with specialization in cinematography in 1982. Since then he has worked in the industry in various capacities in cinematography, screenplay writing, and as a producer and director. He has an extensive experience of teaching for over 25 years.

An eminent personality, Aziz Rajabali is an Entrepreneur since 1995. He founded three companies and ran them successfully for over 17 years. After navigating the business world for almost two decades, he decided to follow his passion for cinema and established living bridge. Since then he has been making short films regularly and has become a keen photographer and writer.

A creator’s mind Kabir Rajabali has studied Architecture for six year at KRVIA Mumbai, then he decided to pursue a life in the Visual Arts. On his journey he learned Graphic Design, Web Design, and added on a few marketing skills as well. At Living Bridge he takes care of the graphics, website, and marketing efforts.

An Overview of the Courses

The institution offers a plethora of courses to ensure that the students get the opportunity to explore their potential. The course is divided into three namely :

Film:

Filmmaking Workshop- This is an intensive, comprehensive hands-on filmmaking workshop in Pune where the aesthetics of cinema are explained in theory as well as in practice. This provides the students an in depth knowledge about the nuances of film making.

Screenwriting- This course provides aspiring candidates with an opportunity to explore the field of screenwriting and helps them to understand the art of script writing thoroughly.

Cinematography- This course trains the students on how to transform a vision into reality. Being a highly technical subject, it focuses on the fundamental and applied cinematographic procedures.

Video Editing- This course instructs students on how to compile video clips and transform them into a potential and meaningful content.

Film Appreciation- This course inculcates in students with the ability to understand various nuances of a film of any genre and teaches them to engage in healthy criticism of films.

Photography:

This course provides students with a basic overview of photography and various technicalities related to the same. It focuses on generating an interest of photography among the students and embracing creativity in various efforts. It is further divided into Basic Photography, Studio Photography, and Photography for kids.

Writing:

The course is divided into creative writing, story writing, blog and content writing, food and travel writing, and creative writing for kids. It bestows the students to learn the art of writing and give their words a new direction by creating stories that will make history for a lifetime.
