According to the latest district administration report, the priority vaccination of teachers and non-teaching staff ahead of the plans to open schools, resulted in the full vaccination of 81 percent of the total staff deployed in government/private schools in the Pune Metropolitan Region (PMR).

There are 56,633 teachers and non-teaching employees working in the region’s schools. So far, 46,432 employees (81%) have received both doses, whereas 54,802 employees (96%) have received the first dose. In government/municipal corporation-run schools, the percentage of staff who had their first dose of vaccine is higher.
