Established in 2005, Meghna Institute of Dental Sciences (MIDS) is a dynamic institution situated at Telangana. Being affiliated to Kaloji Narayana Roa University of Health Sciences and recognized by Dental Council of India, Ministry of Health and Family welfare Government of India, it is one of the flagship institution of the renowned Vels Educational Group, Chennai. The institute was founded on the belief that the strength of knowledge is allied to the wisdom and sanctum of higher learning. Since its inception, MIDS has gained over a decade’s experience in providing standard and disciplined education from undergraduate to post graduate curriculum in various specialities.

The undergraduate section is separated from the post graduate section respecting their separate needs for space and concentration required. It has books related to medical and dental sciences. The library subscribes to a large number of foreign and national journals in dentistry. MIDS provides separate hostel facilities for boys and girls with well-furnished rooms, well protected, and well-managed & hygienic mess, which serves nutritious and tasty food.
About the Leader
MIDS marches ahead confidently under the ardent stewardship of renowned educationist, Dr Ishari K Ganesh, the Chairman of the institute & Chancellor of Vels University, the youngest chancellor of all deemed Universities. He leads the implementation of a strategic plan that aims at shaping the future growth of the Institute. He holds various positions in sports such as President of Kho Kho Federation of India in south zone, Tamil Nadu amateur wrestling association, Tamil Nadu Taekwondo association, and so on.
His selfless service and dedication towards reform initiatives makes him a man beyond comparison.

Marching ahead, MIDS aims to set new standards in the field of dental education, while at the same time, it intends to provide students an opportunity to excel in education. It encourages the interns to prepare for PG NEET examinations, and guides the interested students for both overseas opportunities and competitive exams. The institute also plans to introduce PhD courses in the future.
