Meghalaya, 7th March, 2018: The Mahatma Gandhi University, 13th Mile, Meghalaya in collaboration with AIU, has jointly organized a three days National Workshop for the administrators of Universities. The participants of the workshop are the Registrars, Deputy and Assistant Registrars, Finance Officers, Controllers of Examination, Assistant Controllers of Examination, Senior University Officers and other Academicians.
The participants have come down to the MGU from far-flung Universities of India such as Central Agricultural University, Manipur, Dev Sanskriti Vishwavidyalaya, Uttarakhand, Sharda University, UP, Kerala Veterinary & Animal Science University, Kerala, Veer Narmad South Gujarat University, Surat, Dr. RML National Law University, Uttar Pradesh, Monad University, Delhi, BITS Mesra, Jharkhand, Central University of Rajasthan, Ajmer, Charotar University of Science & Technology, Gujarat, Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences & Technology of Jammu, Jammu and Kashmir, University of Kashmir, Srinagar, North Eastern Regional Institute of Science & Technology (NERIST) Arunachal Pradesh, Sri Ramachandra Medical College and Research Institute, Chennai, Mohanlal Sukhdai University, Udaipur, Rajasthan, University of Kalyani, West Bengal, Mahatma Ghandi International Hindi University, Maharashtra , Sikkim University, Sikkim, etc.
The Vice Chancellor of MGU Prof. Mohan Bhattacharya has inaugurated the programme by welcoming all the dignitaries. Prof. Gautam Barua, Director of IIIT Guwahati has acted as Chief Guest for the occasion. He congratulated the Vice-Chancellor Prof. Mohan Bhattacharya and Assistant Registrar Dr. Minakshi Das for organizing the first ever National level Workshop on University Management in the state. He appreciated and said that such type of workshop will strengthen the academic environment of the North-East Region as a whole.
The Deputy Director, Research, AIU, Dr. Amarendra Pani emphasized upon the need of research and capacity building activities through such workshops and other related activities. He has also congratulated the organizing committee members including Dr. Pallavi Sharma, Director, RDIC, MGU, Ms. Rakhi Ghosh, Branding and Marketing Officer, MGU, Mr. M. R. Saikia, Assistant Professor, MGU, Dr. Rajkishor Gogoi, Assistant Professor, MGU, Dr. Vikash Mishra, Assistant Professor, MGU. There are all together ten technical sessions within these three days of workshop. Some of the eminent resource persons for the technical sessions are Dr. B. N.
