Mitchell County Conservation to Hold Hunter Education Course
Hunter Education Course

Mitchell County Conservation is hosting a Hunter Education Classroom Course on October eight, at the Milton R. Owen Nature Center. It is a hands-on class in which participants will spend a lot of time outside. Participants are asked to come in weather-appropriate attire.

At the course, students will learn basic survival and first-aid skills, as well as water safety, wildlife identification, wildlife management essentials, hunting rules, and firearm/archery safety. Individual responsibility and outdoor ethics are also stressed in hunter education.

The course will follow all state-issued health and safety regulations. It is recommended that participants bring their own mask. The remainder of the educational materials will be delivered.
