Chitkara University, Punjab Campus organized a one day ‘National Seminar on Quality Assurance in Indian Higher Education through Academic and Administrative Audit’ on 22-february 2019. The event was hosted by Chitkara University Accreditation and Quality Assurance Cell (CUAQAC), and an overwhelming response was received from around a hundred registrations from internal and external participants.

The eminent guest speakers were Dr. B.S.Rajput, ( Former VC , Kumaun University , Former Chairman, UP State Council for Higher Education), Dr. P. K. Ahluwalia ( Former Professor, Department of Physics, Director IQAC , Dean Planning, Himachal Pradesh University).  The guests were welcomed and felicitated by Hon’ble Vice Chancellor Dr. Madhu Chitkara. The other dignitaries present were Dr. Archana Mantri, Pro Vice Chancellor,Chitkara University, Dr. S. C. Sharma, Dr.I.S Sandhu, Dr. Amit Mittal and Dr. K. K. Mishra .The purpose of the seminar was to engage with substantive and theoretical issues concerning quality policies in Indian Higher Educational Institutions (HEI).

The focus of the talks was to have an ideal approach towards quality education in order to meet global standards and aspire for global acknowledgement. The importance of the role of IQAC towards formulating and implementation of quality policies was also discussed.

The other sessions were taken by Dr Archana Mantri and Dr Amit mittal and the prospects of Indian Higher Educational Institutions and the role of regulating agencies regarding compliance of quality aspects were discussed. The participants benefitted from the rich experiences and vast subject knowledge of the speakers. The event was successful in serving the purpose of understanding and reviewing the processes involved in quality assurance in Indian Higher Educational Institutions .
