NYC Releases Safety Protocols for Schools
Safety Protocols

Mayor of the New York City, Bill de Blasio presented safety protocols for schools this fall. The protocol is released to reassure concerned parents about the delta variant of coronavirus. The city will test a random sample of 10% of unvaccinated people every week. As per the guidelines, children over the age of 12 will be eligible for vaccination.

The students who have not been vaccinated can leave the quarantine early if they receive a negative test result 5 days after the quarantine. It is mandatory for all the students and other staff to wear masks. The first day of school for students in the city is September 13.
