Pimpri Chinchwad Polytechnic commonly known as PCP was established in the year 1990. It consists of spacious building for various departments such assports ground, canteen, and mess facility. To enhance the skillset and provide students with utmost offerings, the institute conducts various leading programs, which include SAP program, Mitcon series, Spoken tutorial, NPTL, Swayam, and NDL. In the institute, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Technology are given accreditation status (NBA) for three years. The institute is certified as ISO 9001:2015.

Late Shri. Shankarao Bajirao Patil was the Founder and Chairman of Pimpri Chinchwad Education Trust. Under his guidance, the trust has expanded with many variants like Engineering College, MBA, MCA, School, Jr. College, and Architecture College. He hails from a prosperous agriculture family and has thriving achievements in the field of education, social welfare, politics, and cooperative activities. Due to his dedicated self and meticulous approach of work, he was counted as the most renowned, experienced, respectable personality and the man of fame and honor in the state of Maharashtra for quite a long time.
He was a Minister for Labour, Gramin-Vikas, Co-operation, Dairy development, and Finance in Maharashtra State Government and also the Member of Parliament twice. He has successfully leaded from the forefront as the founder chairman of number of educational institutes.
Owing to his inert desire and drive, the trust decided to establish and start Polytechnic and Engineering College, which achieved remarkable success in a short period of time. He holds a dignified place in the minds of people and his virtues of social commitment, innovative, visionary approach, creativity, and the urge to maintain quality is the secret of this success.
