Private schools in Telangana have decided to start hostels from Monday. Though the Telangana high is yet to rule on whether or not residential schools can reopen, the managements are all set to reopen the hostels. This decision will be helpful for the students studying in residential schools. Private school managements administer approximately 10,000 private schools and around 3,000 hostels across Telangana.
Management has stated that they are willing to face the risk of operating hostels during a pandemic and will adhere to all Covid-19 guidelines on campus. Currently, the state has over 32 lakh children registered in private schools, with around 40% of those enrolled in residential institutions.
