School of Law and Constitutional Studies, Shobhit Deemed University, Meerut organized 2-days 1st National Moot Court Competition on 7th April, 2019. The Preliminary rounds of the competition were conducted on 6th April 2019. The competition was one of the prestigious event to be organized in any law school. Shobhit Deemed University becomes the first Law College in Meerut Comissionary to organize the National Moot Court Competition. The Moot Competition was based on a “criminal problem”. The teams from top law schools of India participated in the event. The second day of event was inaugurated by Kunwar Shekhar Vijendra Hon’ble Chancellor Shobhit Deemed University. The result for 1st and 2nd preliminary round were also declared on 2nd day of event. UPES Dehradun, Army Institute of Law, Northcap University, Army Institute of Law and 4 others qualified were qualified for semi-finals. Indore Institute of Law, UPES Dehradun, Sharda University, Army Institute of Law qualified for finals. At the valedictory session in the evening Army Institute of Law won the 1st prize, UPES, Dehradun 2nd prize, best speaker male was Pranav Kaushal Bahra University, best speaker female Harnoordeep Kaur & Rayat College Of Law , best rersearcher was G.Vinu Sree Dr. Ambedkar University School Of Excellence in Law College Chennai, best memorial was given to Shashtra Deemed University and 2nd best memorial to Rajiv Gandhi National University of worth Rs. 2 lakhs. The finals were judged by Hon’ble Mr. Justice B. Amit Sthalekar, High Court of Judicature at Allahbad, Hon’ble Shri A.K Pundir, Hon’ble Judge(Retd.) District and Session Court Sh. Pramod Kumar Meerut District Court and Hon’ble Justice Rajesh Chandra. On the second day of and hospitality was looked after by Ast. Prof Nudrat Fatima, anchoring, collection of results, invigilation by Ast.Prof Nisha Parveen, draw of lots and making of results by Ast. Prof Ankita Mishra and Vineet Chaubey, researcher test and presenting plant saplings,court-room set up & momentos distribution by Dr. Rekha Verma, cultural event by Dr. Anita Rathore . Ast.Prof Mohd. Imran was the convener of the entire competition.
