Shivanjali, the annual gathering of the All India Shri Shivaji Memorial Society’s College of Engineering was organized with great enthusiasm. Celebrity actress ADITI GOVITRIKAR was the chief guest at the annual gathering. She graced the occasion not only with her presence, but also enlightened the audience with her words of wisdom. She addressed the students by saying “BE FOCUSED, in whatever you are doing, BE INNOVATIVE, live a life you want, but make sure you never lose your focus.” She also said that she loves coming to the city of Pune, since the city offers her warmth and comfort. The Honorary Secretary of AISSM Society, Shri Malojiraje Chhatrapati also graced the occasion with his presence. Principal, Dr. D S Bormane threw light on the remarkable achievements of students and professors of the college while presenting the annual report. Later during the event, the students with outstanding performances in Academics, Co-curricular, Sports and Cultural categories were awarded by the hands of the Chief Guest. The following awards were presented to the students, Best sports man: Mr Ashutosh Sutar . Best sports women: Miss Ashmi Katariya. The prize for the best Student in the cultural category was awarded to Miss Shreya Vashikar. Best students in NSS: Mr. Vinay Raut and Miss Gauri Karpe. Best outgoing student : Roshan Shinde. The prize for the Best Department was awarded to the COMPUTER ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT.

The students presented their remarkable talent at the two-day cultural festival. Secretary of the Institute, Mr. Malojiraje Chhatrapati rightly stated that the mission of our college is to make education flexible and available to all and emphasized on the fact that how important these cultural and creative programs are for the students, and hence major efforts are taken on organizing such events and activities.

These events help in inculcating moral values and leadership qualities in students. Such activities mold the students to meet the ever-changing challenges of jobs and industries. Today, our work in engineering, management, pharmacy, hotel management and catering technology is reaching people across the country and around the world through our students. Our students are making their mark across the globe with the name AISSMS.

He said that, “I always tell my students to keep curiosity alive and let the community and the nation use your knowledge to progress ahead. This is truly the perfect time to take every opportunity in life. Keep working on your talents and ideas with full confidence. Strive for creative work, never miss a chance, and make a milestone of every success.” Honorable Joint Secretary Shri Suresh Pratap Shinde, Treasurer Shri Ajay Patil, Shri Sahebrao Jadhav, Shri Nitin Khanse, Shri Bhagwanrao Salunkhe were the other eminent members of the AISSM Society who graced the occasion.
