The State Department of Education is giving Teach for America more than $4 million to carry more tutors to Oklahoma. The fund will be delivered in the span of three years. This money will allow Teach for America to recruit experienced alumni across the country to teach in Oklahoma.

On top of that, they will invest in school leaders and train college students. There is a wide pool to look over with more than 500 alumni in the state and around 60,000 across the country. The fund will allow them to get extra tutors from the state as well as from the country.
