The National League for Nursing has honored Treesa Scaria, assistant professor, department head, and program chair of nursing, with a renowned nursing education faculty award (NLN).
Scaria will get a $8,000 grant to help her finish her doctoral studies in nursing. She is one of only 13 beneficiaries picked from a huge and very selective pool of candidates this year.
“The prize is a much-appreciated acknowledgement of my dedication to students, teaching, education, and research,” said Scaria, whose dissertation focuses on diversity in nursing academia.
For more than 125 years, the National League for Nursing has promoted nursing education quality through faculty development programs, testing and evaluation, nursing research funding, and public policy efforts.
