The government of Uttar Pradesh is likely to reopen the schools for classes 6-8. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has ordered officials to start the admission process for classes 6-8. These classes are likely to start from September 1.

The decision has been taken looking at the reduction in Covid-19 cases in the last few weeks. Yogi Adityanath had already declared the reopening of schools and universities from August 16. The devastating waves of covid-19 pandemic affected the state badly. The schools were shut down since the first wave of the pandemic.
