Established in the year 2007, the Institute of Hotel & Tourism Management (IHTM), MDU proudly stands in the listing of Schools of World directory of Tourism Education (World Tourism Directory). It is an integral part of M.D University (MDU),Rohtak (A State University established by Govt of Haryana). The philosophy of IHTM is to develop their operational and managerial skills in such a way that the students are able to excel in the desired industry. The Institute exhibits a tremendous level of reputation,which can be seen in both national and international level students seeking admission in this institute as their first choice.In addition to being students’ first choice, IHTM has also been rated among premier institutes of hotel management in Haryana and India by various agencies.

With this belief, the institute pays its gratitude towards its founders and Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor Prof. Rajbir Singh, who is an able administrator and a great motivator for Team MDU and IHTM. The institute’s Professor & Director is Prof. AshishDahiya, whose dynamic leadership steers this ship of hospitality in the ocean of hospitality & tourism. He has been instrumental in making IHTM a great one with his team.

An Ideal Infrastructure
The institute boasts of quality infrastructure, state-of-the-art laboratories for food production, front office, food service, tourism services, computers and attached training guest rooms. It has the latest learning resources supplemented by electronic equipment and a rich in-house library having more than 12,000 books exclusively for hotel & tourism management. The institute feels proud of completing research projects in hospitality & tourism for University Grants Commission.

- D. Program (Hotel & Tourism Management)
- Masters Program: 2 Year MHMCT & 2 Year MTTM , 5 Year MHMCT
- Bachelors Program: BHMCT & BTTM

Utilizing experiential learning and focusing on student-centric activities, the institute has organized over thirty events and activities in the last five years. In 2019 itself, two international seminars and one workshop have been organized.
