Academic Programs and Syllabi 

KIMSDU offers a wide range of syllabi and innovative methods of pedagogy. It has five constituent faculties, i.e. Faculty of Medical Sciences, Faculty of Dental Sciences, Faculty of Physiotherapy, Faculty of Nursing Sciences, Faculty of Allied Sciences (Microbiology, Biotechnology and Krishna Institute of Pharmacy).

It offers several courses at Undergraduate, Postgraduate, Superspeciality, PG Diploma, Diploma, Fellowship and Ph.D. levels. The need analysis of curriculum is done every three-year depending upon local, national requirements like emerging health problems. The curriculum is revised and updated every three years. The specialized academic programs are offered that make the graduate from KIMSDU competent at the global level.

An Ardent Educator

 Dr. Suresh Bhosale is the Chancellor of Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences “Deemed to Be University”, Karad and Chairman and Managing Trustee of Krishna Charitable Trust (KCT- The Parent Trust). He has more than thirty years of experience in the field of medicine, education and research. He started his journey as Assistant Professor of Surgery with KIMSDU in 1985 and was appointed as the Vice-Chancellor in the year 2005. As professor of surgery he started the sub-specialty of ‘Breast Surgery’ and has performed more than 2000 breast surgeries.

Through his hard work and strong determination, Dr. Bhosale has initiated a number of initiatives for the further development of the institute as well as for the students. He incepted the new faculties of Dentistry, Physiotherapy, Nursing and Biotechnology. He laid the foundations for research oriented scientific teaching in medicine with the establishment of a competency-based curriculum, adoption of best practices and independent empowered Directorate of Research. Under his strong and capable leadership, the institute has undergone several transformational activities.

Placements and Career Development Activities 

KIMSDU offers professional training that provides immense practical exposures to students. This includes, visits to pharmaceutical industries as well as industries where microbiology and biotechnology techniques and procedures are used. Apart from this, students from faculty of medicine, dentistry, physiotherapy and nursing are sent on observership assignments to other institutes to gain practical knowledge.
