The Faculty of Law, MU owes its success to the resolute leadership of Dr. Rhishikesh Dave, the Dean. With a rich experience of more than a decade in the field of education, he leads the faculty towards attaining academic excellence. An LLM and Ph. D degree holder, Dr. Rishikesh has won many accolades including a Doctoral Scholarship by ‘The Hague Academy of International Law’ and Academic Excellence Award in Legal Desire Summit & Awards 2018.

Dr. Rhishikesh has served as a Dean in prestigious institutes like NMIMS University School of Law, School of Law at Galgotias University, and before that with Nirma University and Gujarat National Law University as a Registrar. Besides organizing moot court competitions, workshops, conferences, and seminars, he was also the Faculty Advisor at ILNU, Centre of International Humanitarian Law Studies.

Noteworthy Collaborations

The faculty has worked with many renowned institutions, with the focus on attaining academic excellence. It received a grant of 9.2 lac euros from the Erasmus Plus project by the European Union to initiate a master’s degree program in Refugee Law. It has also signed MoUs with CIArb and Chicago Kent College of Law, USA for faculty transfer, student transfer, joint research projects, and summer and winter schools.

Future Objectives

Aiming at the future, Marwadi University (MU), Faculty of Law (FOL) plans to shape a career-oriented law school by initiating research centers on artificial intelligence and law, and food law in association with FSSAI. Besides inviting renowned international law faculty, the university plans to engage full-time foreign faculty in its department.
