Sagar Institute of Science and Technology (SISTec) has been selected for establishing Institution Innovation Council (IIC) at its premises as per the norms and directions of Ministry of Human Resource Development, (MHRD) Government of India (GOI). The same was declared during launch of Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) program by the Union HRD Minister Shri Prakash Javadekar through video conferencing under Innovation cell of MHRD in New Delhi. Ministry of Human Resource Development has established an “Innovation cell” (MIC) at AICTE with a purpose to systematically foster the culture of Innovation in all Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) and Technical Higher Education Institutions (THEIs) across the country to encourage, inspire and nurture young students to work with new ideas and transform themselves into prototypes with research.

With announcement of above, SISTec is now a network of IIC’s across India to promote innovation in the Institution through multitudinous modes leading to an innovation promotion Eco-System in the campuses. IIC selection was basis SISTec’s past functionality of entrepreneurship cell and its vision along with ownership towards this cell to promote and provide maximum patents of trending technology. Prof. Prachi Shrivastava, CRM, SISTec received the certificateand grant at the AICTE Headquarters in presence of Shri R. Subrahmanyam, Secretary (HE), MHRD, Prof. Dr. Anil Sahasrabudhe, Chairman, AICTE, Dr. N. Saravana Kumar, Joint Secretary (TE), Prof. Bhushan Patwardhan, Vice-Chairman, UGC, Dr. Abhay Jere, CIO, MIC.

Shri Siddharth Sudhir Kumar Agrawal, Managing Director, Sagar Group, congratulated Team SISTec for establishing IIC and said that, “We are thankful to Ministry of HRD and AICTE for selecting SISTec to establish Institution Innovation Council.
