On Wednesday, July 14, United States Secretary of Education, Miguel Cardona joined officials from the Los Angeles Unified School District. He visited the school to invite volunteers to assist re-engage kids and link them with a loving adult as they transition out of the coronavirus pandemic.

Educational leaders visited Fairfax high school to encourage Readyset, a recruitment campaign to build a chain of volunteers for upcoming school year. Speakers mentioned that they need to re-engage students for loss in education and need to support them for social emotional breakdowns in this global pandemic.
